Registration 2010-11

We are currently updating registration materials for the upcoming Spring season.  Registration will take place in the late fall and all information needed will be posted on the website NLT Sept. 15th.  Stay tuned for all you will need to register and play "the fastest game on two feet".

Fall Ball

Are you looking for a fall lacrosse team?  We at Keller Lacrosse support multi-sport athletes.  We do not have fall lacrosse at the youth level.  However, you may register as an individual to play fall ball with other area leagues (Plano, possibly Colleyville).

There will be fall ball at the HS level for those players who currently are not active with other fall sports.  Please contact Steve Connolly for more information.

Freed Makes Keller Proud!

Freed (in orange/black) showcases his "D" skills

Jacob Freed, a member of the 2010-11 senior class at KHS, was selected to play with the Adidas All-American Lacrosse Team this past June.  The Adidas National Lacrosse Classic unites the top high school underclassmen lacrosse players and college coaches in a showcase geared for college admissions and athletic recruitment. Twenty teams from eight different regions of the country competed for the National Championship in Washington D.C. this summer. The Adidas National Lacrosse Classic serves are one of the largest college recruiting showcase events of the year.

Jacob has been playing lacrosse with the Keller Lacrosse Association for 4 years.  Although lacrosse is only 5 years young in the Keller area, the association continues to mold relative new-comers to the sport into highly competitive athletes.  Last year's Varsity team won the prestigious Texas A&M Tournament and captured the Division III Regional title. A hearty congratulation goes to Jacob and his family for this outstanding achievement.

2010 Senior middie Dane Wicks will be playing collegiate lacrosse for Coach Chris Park at Texas State University in San Marcos next season.

Dane was the MVP of the THSLL DIII championship game, and will report to Texas State in August for fall practice.

From all at Keller Lacrosse - Good Luck Dane!

K7 "REP-RE-SENT" at T99 and the Adidas National Tryout!

Over the weekend of June 4th-6th, Keller Lacrosse made a huge splash on the national level as several Keller Varsity players represented the organization.

Rising Seniors (2010-11) Michael Connolly, Jacob Freed, Nolan Frese, Ryan Kitch, Mitch Stringer and Tyler Sheets were joined by goalie Garrett Hardy (a rising Junior) at the invitation only T99 lacrosse camp which featured the top players in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana. The players played separately as part of 12 teams in 6 games over Saturday and Sunday in front of 84 college coaches and scouts at the Greenhill School in Addison.

On Friday night, Austin Eller and Dane Wicks joined Stringer and Freed in tryouts for the regional Adidas All-American team which will represent Texas in a national tournament in DC later this summer.

A huge Keller shoutout to Jacob Freed for being selected to the Adidas National All-American team, and to Nolan Frese for being selected to play in the T99 All-Star game! Both selections were firsts for Keller Lacrosse!

Keller Lacrosse Supports "Honoring the Game"

Onondaga_lacrosse_small

Lacrosse has been played in some form for over 500 years, and it is considered the oldest organized sport in America. To Native Americans, it was played for healing and rejuvenation purposes in addition for the preparation of battle. Lacrosse is viewed as a cultural legacy that succeeds in teaching the lessons of how to live a good life. Lacrosse demands teamwork, leadership, commitment, sacrifice, and, of course, physical prowess—virtues that will benefit our young men on and off the playing field and long after their athletic careers wane.

So while modern day lacrosse is a sport with hundreds of thousands of amateur and professional players around the world, our hopes are that you will remember that it is a game imbued with special significance.  Our association hopes that this inspires you to honor this truly awesome game.
